It’s hard to believe February is already here but lately the days seem to fly by faster than ever! February is full of events we’ve got marked on our calendar: Acts of Kindness Day, Black History Month, American Heart Month and of course, Valentine’s Day. Even though we often associate February with romance and fancy gifts, we think this month is the perfect opportunity to spread the love to everyone.
When it comes to love, it’s no secret that we love our patients! Next time you’re in the office, take a guess at how many hearts are in our Valentine’s Day vase. You could win a box of chocolates and a $50 gift card to Clementine! Patients who come in on Valentine’s Day will also get a carnation and a special photo shoot with our Valentine’s Day frame.
Call us old fashioned, but there’s nothing more personal than hand writing a letter to family members telling them how much they mean to you. Friendship and love are gifts from God that we are truly grateful for, so make sure you let your loved ones know you care.
Not only is February the month for candy hearts but it’s also American Heart Month. It’s so important to increase awareness about heart disease in order to avoid health problems later on. A great way to set yourself up for a healthy lifestyle is with a heart-healthy diet. We love making healthy versions of some of our favorite foods like potato chips! By baking our own chips at home, they’re still delicious without being dunked in a bunch of frying oil like what you would find in the chip aisle.
In honor of Black History Month, we’re displaying a few bios and pictures of significant figures who fought for civil rights and equality. February 17th is also Acts of Kindness Day! Even though our team will be in Las Vegas for training, that doesn’t mean we won’t be spreading kindness all day long. We encourage all of our patients to participate even if it’s just with something small.
